I got my B.A. in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. At Penn, I combined my creative and technical interests as (1) an astronomy researcher with Prof. Gary Bernstein and (2) a video editor at the Singh Center for Nanotechnology. Click here for more information on my undergraduate research, and here for more on my video editing experience.

I entered Penn with the Vagelos Endowed Scholarship in Molecular Life Sciences, before pivoting to a concentration in astrophysics. I also supplemented my STEM curriculum with courses in writing, music, Japanese, and videography. Click here to see projects from my coursework.

In the summer of 2021, I was admitted to the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at Northwestern University’s Center for Interdisciplinary Exploration and Research in Astrophysics (CIERA). I worked with Prof. Wen-fai Fong and Dr. Kerry Paterson on a research project in gravitational-wave follow-up. Click here for materials and more information about this project.

I have happily returned to CIERA to pursue my Ph.D., and live in my favorite city of all time (Chicago). I work in Prof. Adam A. Miller’s transient astronomy group. Click here for more information on my current research.
